CCaLC OPTIMISATION TOOL
The CCaLC Optimisation Tool is a tool for optimising carbon footprints of products, processes or supply chains at minimum costs.
The CCaLC Optimisation Tool works in conjunction with the CCaLC Tool. The CCaLC Tool is used first to estimate the carbon footprint, other environmental impacts and value added along a supply chain. The Optimisation Tool can then be used to optimise on the carbon footprint or costs/profits.
This Demo version of the Optimisation Tool has been provided to illustrate the capability of the full version of the tool. The demo version can be used independently of the CCaLC Tool.

- Optimisation of carbon footprints
The CCaLC Optimisation Tool enables optimisation of carbon footprints from 'cradle to grave'.
- Optimisation of costs and profits
In addition to carbon footprints, economic costs and profits can also be optimised and the trade-offs between the carbon and costs/profits examined.
- Other environmental impacts
Other environmental impacts (e.g. human toxicity, acidification, eutrophication, etc.) as well as process capacities can be included in optimisation as optional constraints.
- Case studies and databases
Like the CCaLC Tool, the Optimisation Tool has several case studies and over 5000 data items included in the databases.
